Maugeri-Etna-Wine-Sicily

Cantina Maugeri, located in the district of Milo on the incline of Mount Etna, is without a doubt one of the most exceptional contemporary wineries in the region. Renowned for producing some of the finest white wines of Sicily, the winery boasts an unwavering dedication to excellence, evident in their first vintage release to the public in 2020. The hard work and meticulous planning that went into replanting and organizing the vineyards to showcase the true potential of the terroir is equally impressive as the wines themselves.

The Maugeri family, Renato, Carla, Michela, and Paola, have returned to their ancestral home to cultivate the land and craft wines that pay homage to its unique characteristics. Surrounded by over 100 terraces of vineyards that stretch between Contrada Praino and Contrada Volpare, the vineyards are planted in harmony with the Mediterranean landscape, nourished by the fertile volcanic soil that gives the grapes their distinct character, enclosed by an unbroken line of lava dry-stone walling and the property encompasses 7 hectares of land. The Maugeri estate is truly a remarkable winery, with a bright future ahead.
