CORTE AURA

LOMBARDY / FRANCIACORTA

Corte Aura is a winery located in the small and picturesque region of Franciacorta, nestled in the foothills of the Alps in Lombardy, Italy. This idyllic area, just 70km east of Milan, is home to a dedicated group of over 100 producers, cultivating around 3,000ha of vines. The region is renowned for producing some of the finest traditional-method sparkling wines in Italy and is considered one of the best resources for quality, traditional-method sparkling wines in the country.

Corte Aura was founded in 2009 by Federico Fossati, a native of the Veneto region who had a dream of making high-quality wine produced in the territory. He traveled throughout Italy looking for the perfect location where he could produce wines with the richest and widest range of nuances. Eventually, he discovered Franciacorta and met Pierangelo Bonomi, a great connoisseur of Franciacorta, and his dream became a reality.

At Corte Aura, the maturation process on the lees is prolonged for at least 36 months, even for the Brut, resulting in cuvées that are both long-lasting and highly expressive. The portfolio includes Brut, Rosé, Pas Dosè, Satén and vintage wines, each a testament to the winery's commitment to precision and perfection. With a team led by Federico Fossati, a true perfectionist, and Pierangelo Bonomi, a skilled chef de cave, Corte Aura is quickly establishing itself as one of the top emerging producers in Franciacorta. The winery's idea of Franciacorta DOCG is the very highest expression of the qualities of the territory and the wines produced are a masterpiece of precision and nothing is left to chance.

CORTE AURA FRANCIACORTA SATEN

Appellation: Franciacorta DOCG

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay.
Vineyards: the grapes come from vineyards located in different municipalities of Franciacorta, representing all the different landscape units that characterize the area.
Plant density: 5000 bases/ha.

Alcohol:12.5% vol.

Notes: Straw yellow colour and fine perlage. The wine has a delicate floral fragrance. The taste is soft and delicately creamy, nuanced but distinct scent of ripe fruit, accompanied by subtle hints of white flowers and nuts, or roasted (almonds or hazelnuts), pleasant savour and freshness that fuse with a natural smoothness that recalls the delicate feeling of silk.
